My journey in information security

About Me

I am a cyber security graduate student at NYU Tandon (formerly NYU Poly). My primary interests are Cryptography , Web Application security, Network Security and Forensics, and security analytics. I got interested in Computers when I got into gaming at the age of 13 and this translated me to pursue my undergraduate in computer science. I worked for 2 years in software development - My after office hours were spent in my new found addiction - Information security.I eventually left my job to pursue Masters in Cybersecurity. The world around us is racing towards the next digital age, the question is can we secure our future at the pace that it is advancing ? What do we sacrifice for usability and will privacy get swept under the rug in the era of Internet of Everything? - Cybersecurity is the need of the hour , more than ever before, and I like my peer security researchers must better ourselves for it. We as security researchers have the power to look under the hood, analyze the bits and bytes of network traffic, ask the uncomfortable questions, the ability to assume the worst when it comes to applications, expect the unexpected and figure out what could break and go wrong before our adversaries - and with great power comes great responsibility.

Work Experience

I have a professional work experience of over 2 years in software development, having worked as a software developer at Fastenal, India. I currently have a year of work experience in Security Analytics and Threat Hunting, at Securonix.
